VCA und Ring-Mod mit Charakter

Der ModDemix kombiniert Mixer, VCA und Ring Modulation in einem sehr kleinen Paket. Zwei Kanäle, die jeweils bei Nutzung mit einem unipolaren Modulationssignal als VCAs genutzt werden können und mit einem weiteren Input zusammen auf eine Summe gemischt werden (aber auch einzeln abgreifbar sind). Diese Struktur erinnert vielleicht an andere Module (wie z.B. Intellijels uVCA), aber der ModDemix hat einige Alleinstellungsmerkmale: Zuallererst fällt auf, dass beide Kanäle auch bipolare Modulationssignale entgegennehmen und dann als Ring-Mod verwendbar sind (oder auch - mit einer konstanten negativen Spannung - einfach nur als Inverter verwendet werden können). Dazu kommt noch, dass der ModDemix Signale spürbar färbt - leise Signale klingen etwas dünner, während ausreichend laute Signale zu Sättigung führen und der ModDemix dann eine für meine Ohren sehr angenehme sanfte Zerrung hinzufügt. Es ist also nicht der "sauberste" VCA, dafür aber mit viel Charakter.

Die Bedienung ist denkbar einfach und die Verarbeitung sehr gut. Habe auch nach langer Verwendung nichts an der Qualität auszusetzen - wie auch sonst von Make Noise gewohnt.

Utilisé avec pas mal de modules de la même marque (Make noise) pour l'instant j'en suis plutôt satisfait. Je le considère à l'heure actuel plus comme un effet car il agit vraiment sur le son (suivant la course du potard notamment). Il y a un côté sale qui m'intéresse beaucoup... Je cherchais cela, donc tout va bien! J'ai aussi un Optomix de la même marque et la différence de son est appréciable. C'est du Make noise, donc ça rempli pas mal de fonctions, mais avec un caractère propre.

Great little swiss army knife of a module

Great all-round versatile module. Use it as attenuator, mixer, ringmod, VCA... A great balance between utility and effect. If you're putting together a small rack, you'll find it in a lot of your patches in many different ways.
