A classic among the Rock cymbals

The success story of the cymbal manufacturer Zultan began in 2000 with the "Rock Beat" series. The finest B20 bronze, hammered into shape by hand and lathed by experienced Turkish cymbal smiths, guarantees a multi-layered, full, and cutting sound. This makes the cymbals perfect for Rock, but thanks to the wide range of models, sizes, and thicknesses, they are also suitable for many other styles. Never before has a professional cymbal sound been available for such an affordable price.

Zultan 18" Rock Beat China

Brilliant sound - brilliant looks

80% copper and 20% tin: This has been the stuff that (cymbal) dreams are made of for centuries. All major manufacturers rely on this recipe for their top series - at prices that quickly leave some drummers quite despondent. All the more gratifying then that Zultan's Rock Beat cymbals are also affordable for less well-heeled drummers. The 18" China provides strong accents, has a large dynamic range, and with its brilliant finish also looks pretty damn good into the bargain.

Zultan 18" Rock Beat China Detail

There is more to the Rock Beat cymbals than just Rock

If it says "Rock" on the outside, there should be Rock on the inside - and that's absolutely true with Zultan's Rock Beat series. Thanks to its hissing and cutting sound, the 18“ china can easily stand out against distorted guitars and is therefore the ideal choice for all types of Rock music. Thanks to its sensitive response, it already develops its full potential in the middle dynamic range, so that nothing stands in the way of also using it for Pop, Funk, or Blues music.

About Zultan

To provide traditional craftsmanship at a fair price has been the guiding principle of Zultan ever since it was founded in 2000. The firm’s practice of selling directly to the end customer makes it possible to offer very customer-friendly prices. Nevertheless, the production process for Zultan’s trademark cymbals, which are made mainly in Turkey, is of the highest quality, a fact which has ensured they have also been a fixture in the Thomann range since 2011. The nearly 250 Zultan products cover several cymbal series, catering for all sectors of the music market. Zultan also offers accessories such as bags and drumsticks. Thanks to the use of high-quality materials and manufacturing expertise, Zultan really does offer uncompromising quality at a reasonable price.

Professional sound at a budget price

If you start playing drums, you should pay particular attention to the quality of the cymbals because, while inferior cymbals may be sufficient for some drummers, they also have clear limits in terms of dynamics and expression. With the 18“ china from Zultan’s Rock Beat series, or even an affordable complete set, you get a lot of quality for not a lot of money, so drumming fun is guaranteed for a long time. Even professional drummers who already have B20 cymbals may find the 18“ China to be the perfect addition to their existing setup.

Almost perfect

Before I got my hands onto this cymbal, frankly speaking I expected it to sound kind of bad because of its price

But when I tried it, I kind of felt lucky and glad for buying this kind-of-low-priced China cymba; it sounds excellent and Zultan seriously didn't lie about the sound i.e. short and beautiful high pitched with slowly decaying vibrations

I tried making a stack cymbal using this China as well and it sounded simply amazing

And this may sound silly but I like how shiny this cymbal is haha

This China is suitable for metal music that involves a lot of breakdowns in my opinion like deathcore

No cons. Used this live once, sounds fine live

AD
LOUD & OBNOXIOUS as all metal chinas should be
Alex Djuran 07.04.2019
This is my 1st china and I don't have much to compare it to. I have heard demos of some lower tier chinas and none of them really sounded all that pleasant and downright hurt my ears a tad.

Naturally, it came as a surprise to me when I heard one I actually thoought was good and this, this is incredible. It's loud without being overbearing on the ears and it sounds great in a drum mix. Decays relatively fast but just enough to hit it again.

Very much recommended!

Kaufempfehlung!
