I expected better manufacturing for that price

I expected better manufacturing. The visible parts are pretty and made of wood. The part of the base is made of hard plastic. The three legs on which it rests are also plastic without any pad to mitigate vibrations. I have the metronome on the piano and it is often a source of vibrations. Inside, the gears are made of white plastic. I suppose it will be the best but it is one more example that the things of now are not like those of before nor even paying a high price.

Früher waren die Geräte besser

Nachdem mein altes Wittner Metronom nach 25 Jahren intensiven Einsatzes defekt war, habe ich mich wieder für dasselbe Modell entschieden, dieses Mal aber mit Glocke. Zwar benutze ich auch ein elektrisches Metronom und eine Smartphone App. Für mein akustisches Klavier sollte es dann - trotz des Preises - wieder ein klassisches Metronom sein.
Der erste Eindruck beim Auspacken war, dass ich das Gefühl hatte, hier wird an Qualität gespart. Auch im täglichen Einsatz habe ich immer wieder das Gefühl, das Metronom arbeitet nicht mehr so präzise gleichmäßig wie sein Vorgänger.
Die Lautstärke des Klicks ist auch geringer, was mir der Hersteller auf Nachfrage mit der Glocke erklärt hat, da diese einen Teil der Energie beansprucht.

un métronome au top

j'ai acheté ce métronome d'abord, je dois l'avouer, pour sa beauté et son noir brillant qui suit parfaitement avec mon piano acoustique noir brillant. utilisation simple et efficace. une fois remonté avec sa petite manivelle, le tempo dure longtemps et ne faiblit pas contrairement à la plupart des métronomes mécaniques. très satisfait. seul reproche.... un peu cher. mais quand on a la qualité et le rendu... achat conseillé.

Sehr schickes mechanisches Metronom, Glocke verbesserungsfähig.

Ein klassisches Metronom wollte ich immer haben. Jetzt endlich war ich das Gepiepe meines elektronischen Metronoms oder das einiger iPhone-Apps satt und habe mir das 816 gekauft. Es sieht toll aus und das satte Klacken klingt in meinen Ohren richtig gut.

Die Glocke hat eine richig schöne, archaisch anmutende Bedienung: man zieht einen Knopf mit der Markierung 2-3-4-6 heraus. Dadurch verschiebt sich im Inneren die komplette Glockenmimik mit einer mehrstufigen Nockenscheibe, die dann alle 2-3-4-6 Schläge ein kleines Hämmerchen auf eine kleine Glocke fallen läßt. Leider klingt die Glocke sehr lange nach, so daß bei schnellerem Tempo der Schlag etwas im Nachklingen verschwindet. Man kann das in den Soundfiles gut hören. Dieses Problem habe ich gelöst, indem ich ein ca. 6x6 mm großes Stück tesa Powerstrip auf die Glocke geklebt habe. Das kleine Klebestück dämpft den Nachklang der Glocke ein bißchen ab und man kann die Glocke bis MM 208 gut hören.

Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Metronom.
