A
Heavy!
Anonymous 03.04.2017
I bought this sticks purely as 'chop builders' and to work on my technique. I don't play marching drums much, but I play a lot of kit and I use these on my practice pads a lot.

They are VERY heavy, to the point where playing most 'choppy' things I can play with anything from 7a's to 2b's is almost impossible. You need immense amounts of control and focus to play with the same articulation as you would with normal sticks, and I think that is great, and is exactly what I wanted them for.

I don't know if I'd ever use them in a musical setting, but they do create a very different sound to any other stick I own, and they have been a valuable addition to my stick bag.

The only negatives are the high cost, and that you can probably really easily hurt yourself if you use these improperly.

LD
For slow practice and building chops.
László Demeter 15.11.2021
I’m in love with these stick!!! They smell so nice, it’s seriously addictive!
More seriously tho, I use these for slow practicing - when learning new motions. Also good for building chops.
Use this stick extremely carefully because they are so heavy, you can seriously hurt yourself without realising. Don’t hit too hard with them, try to make them do the work for you and let your hands follow their flow.
Also, I actually never use these on real drums, only on practice pads.

Very heavy, use with caution
Vorath 14.05.2021
It does what it's made to do: be heavy and help you train your muscles.
To be used with caution and moderation but i really love the soft feel of the wood and the size.

Not for everyone, but i really like it.
