Works as happy cable router as well
Liukke 28.02.2022
Didn't use it for installing XLR connectors, I just have 8 cables that from the bottom rack need to reach the top one and they all have their pass-through slot.

It makes my rack look much cleaner now.

K
Thick metal, sturdy panel
KRNFL69WR 22.08.2019
This panel is made of pretty much thick metal - it's enough, so it won't flex, or move.

Bought it for a bit different purpose than mounting in a rack - I've made a "patch panel" for a pedalboard from it. Paired it with neutrik lockable connectors. This also helped to get rid of some cable clutter across pedalboard, connecting your in and out, fx loop send and return, and sometimes trigger signals to act as a footswitch for the amp. Put a PowerCON connector there too, so setting up would take less time.

Does the job
Anonymous 21.02.2015
It's a good panel, it fits perfectly to the rack and takes the connectors very well too. A couple of niggles though ( and they are just niggles), there is a very slight flex in the panel when connecting stuff, mostly the middle sockets and it is very slight but there all the same, so not too sure how that will hold up over time. The other is depending on your ocd levels, it doesn't bother me but l did notice it , is that the two fixing holes for the screws are fractionally and l do mean factionally out so the sockets are pulling clockwise by a hair when fixed. Personally for the price l think this is a great panel and if the flexing doesn't become an issue six months down the line l'll happily come back and upgrade to five stars.

Not robust...
E H. 23.11.2015
It arrived already bent & twisted in the box, i was surprised that I could straighten it back into a useable shape by hand (yes, the metal is that flimsy!)... I'm not going to bother wiring it up as it won't survive long on the road in my job. May be ok for gentle home studio use I guess. First really bad item I've bought in years but since it's a cheapie, I'll just bin it... I've got steel versions of these elsewhere in the past that feel like they are 10x times stronger. Biggest annoyance is that I've wasted a week waiting for this. Avoid!
