A
finely finished

I bought this recently. It's a fine looking instrument especially for the price. It's very light weight and the sound board is quite delicate, but as a result you'd be quite amazed by the sound quality. It's louder than my renaissance lute by some degree and yes, it sounds like a lute rather than a guitar (you might want to order a spare set of lute strings for at the same time as I wouldn't risk using HT strings on it.

A point to mention: Mine did have an error (buzzing fret) I was a little concerned about how the return would go but after a quick phone call, they emailed a return (pre-paid) label. It's important to know that if you are buying online from Germany that, if things go wrong they'll be dealt with easily and it was. My advice - check it thoroughly when it arrives (keep the box till you're happy) If there issues return before it gets knocked or something. Don't worry, these guys are efficient, helpful and honest.
Happy playing!

HR
Possibly more of a guitar with a slight shape of lute.
Helder Rock 30.07.2020
It really doesn't sound much different from a regular Classical Guitar, I've been struggling with how can I hold it or grip it due to its shape, After several different ways and chairs and sits, I even sat on my bed which worked best as the body rested along side very much like Dionisio Aguado's cradle for guitar before the foot stool was introduced. I am now using a guitar strap as it comes with a button for it. I played some music for classical guitar like a total beginner but I will get there, more than practicing playing I need to practice how to adapt it to my body. Overall after 10 years of longing and 4 years of saving money for it, it's OK... But I will always regard it as a Classical Guitar with a shape of a lute...

M
Excellent sounding instrument!

Overall it's a very beautiful sounding instrument. My low G is a bit buzzy but that's a very easy fix. I couldn't help but admire its beauty when I first opened the case.

Einigermaßen annehmbares Instrument
BeEs 09.03.2011
