The mute is huge! If you can look past that, then go for it.

The response is great, I hardly feel any resistant. Excellent intonation, I can hit low G to high C no problem, no discern pitch bend.
You do lose that mellow reverb from the instrument, but hey, that is what practice mute is for

Der Dämpfer hat einen angenehmen runden Ton, ich spüre keinen Widerstand, er sitzt sicher, zeichnet sich durch gute Intonation in allen Lagen aus und ist solide verarbeitet. Als Übungsdämpfer benutze ich einen Best Brass-Dämpfer und so war ich von der Größe dieses Dämpfers leicht überrascht. Natürlich geht es hier nicht um totale Klangreduzierung sondern um einen guten Sound und der hat seinen Preis - der übrigens gewohnt günstig ist - auch in der Unbequemlichkeit der Handhabung: Aus meinem Yamaha Yep 321 ragt er 18cm heraus mit 28cm Durchmesser und 650 g Gewicht. Das ist bei einem Euphonium schon etwas unbequem aber bei einem so guten Sound nimmt man das in Kauf.
