It fit!

I have a vintage 16" floor tom with only one hoop. It is a weird profile hoop which bends on top toward the inside of the drum (towards the head), and has 6 lug holes. The other hoops for 16" toms mostly have 8 holes, so it took me some time until my search ended at Thomann. I was very happy to see that the hoop fits, and even though the drum is "special" (I suspect it's just below the 16" it is supposed to be), and that the lug holders are too close to the body of the drum it worked out.
I don't know how much of this is up to the hoop, and how much on the drum body, but the sidestick sound is really nice and warm. I suppose it's a cooperational result.
The hoop itself is nice and shiny, and all that you would expect from a drum hoop.

Wir sind ein Handball-Fanclub und benötigen den Ring als Ersatz für eine unserer Fantrommeln. Die Befürchtung, dass der Ring nicht die Qualität des Erstproduktes hat, hat sich nicht bestätigt. Die Materialstärke sowie die Materialverarbeitung und Form sind sehr überzeugend und zufrieden stellend. Die Bohrungen passen genau und die Form passt auch super. Bis jetzt hält er schon mehrer Spiele und wir sind sicher das er auch noch mehrer Saisons mitmachen wird.

Der Thomann-Service war wie immer super und Telefon-Beratung einfach nur spitze. Ohne großes Vorwissen wurde mir sehr schnell und kompetent geholfen. Vielen Dank dafür und bis zur nächsten Bestllung.
