A new level of security
I have been a long-time user of the old Schaller security locks and have always been happy with their use, so I bought a set of the S-locks to go on a new guitar. I didn't realise they had upgraded their locking system, and it fixes the one issue I have with my old locks. Will be ordering additional pairs for my old guitars.
The main feature of the new locks is the ring that secures the strap in place. The old strap locks only used a washer, which could sometimes loosen gradually. The new ring is easy to tighten, plus an extra screw ensures that it remains securely in place. Can highly recommend.
One small downside is that the bolt of the S-locks is taller so it sticks out more. Not a deal breaker, but slightly less comfortable for some guitars with the strap button at the back (e.g. SGs).
Also, for those who still have the old Schaller security locks, as far as I can tell the new "strap hooks" also seem to work well with their old locking system.

Best strap locks in the World
These are the absolute pinnacle of Strap Locks in the world today. They are also the most expensive. They are very well machined, with a great design.
They've 'cured' the rattling sound that their predecessors made when you shook the strap. They sit rock-tight on the strap button.
The Strap-lock itself has a longer shaft allowing it to be used with very thick straps without having to cut/trim the strap material to make the top lock it fit, which the old ones suffered from.
Two issues though: -
1) The strap button has a combined wood tapping screw - not like any stock screw used by anyone else. It'll tap a new screw-thread in your guitar body. Be careful, as it'll often not go in totally straight, and end up being slightly misaligned when it's screwed in. I've had this a few times using these. Maybe pre-drill a pilot hole?
2) The button/knob, to release the strap-lock off the guitar, is harder to use than the old ones, which had a bigger 'handle'. These are more finicky to release.
The finish is perfect, and they're available in more finish options than any other strap-lock currently available. All in all, well recommended.

Best version yet.
I have Schaller strap locks on all my guitars, but this was my first experience of the 'new improved' version. I'm very impressed!
Schaller have managed to improve something that didn't really need improving! That said, the new strap clamp is much better - easier to install, kinder to your strap and more secure thanks to the locking screw (which I WISH was a hex-head- I had to search high and low for a tiny enough screwdriver!). Clipping in and out is easier, and there seems to be less 'rattle' all round. Works perfectly with the older style buttons on my other guitars, and the older straplocks work with the new buttons too. Win-win!
If you've never suffered the heart-stopping feeling of your guitar suddenly plummeting stage-wards due to a strap malfunction then I envy you, but you are in the minority. You WILL (like the rest of us) need strap locks one day, and these are the best. Others are available, others aren't as good. Go for the best. If the price seems high, think about the cost of a repair/refinish to fix a dropped instrument. It's not 'treating' your guitar, its insuring it!

Excellent design.
I use them interchangeably with the Fender version and have been doing so for over 15 years. I install them on every new guitar/bass as soon as I decide to keep it. I trust them completely and never had a single problem with them.
The design is very simple and easy to use. The guitar is held securely but has no problem moving around. When properly locked, dropping the guitar seems impossible as you have to pull on them to unlock them.
They fit easily on most straps and can be locked with a small screw for added security though I never found this necessary.
Definitely recommended!

Amazing lock system
Easy to install and it really locks the guitar to the strap so it will not fall.
Also, the mechanism is really silent.
Will buy more for my other guitars.

Before this I used the harley benton locking tuners. These are a lot better. they look and feel better. you only need one strap when you install the strapbuttons on multiple guitars ( you can buy them seperatly) after installing the new strapbuttons and and fixating the strap to the locks it takes no time to put the strap on and remove it.
Cant go wrong with these if you want good quality straplocks

You can do the same think with some cheaper strap locks. However, this one is of great built and quality.

Best way to keep your guitar/bass from drops.
I love these strap locks. Easy to set up and use. The only thing I wish they included is extra screws in varying lengths. I remember when I was putting these on my strat and the original strap button screws were shorter than the Schallers so a few chips flew off around the screwhole when I was screwing them in. I also don't understand why different colour sets are set at different prices. Otherwise I very much like them.
