Good mount!

As Rode Blimp is a good protection against wind it's not always that people want to use it by hand. I make atmosphere recordings and with Blimps own handlebar it's quite uncomfortable to connect it to a mic stand. Since I got this mount Blimp takes much less room and connecting it to a mic stand is easier too. It's also quite nice that it has hole for 3/8" screw and it doesn't need an adapter - like most mic holders do.

Found that you can't use the patch cable from the blimp with this so have to remove it and just use a regular XLR straight to the mic inside the blimp. Other than that great lightweight alternative to the handle for use on a pole

Sinnvolle Ergänzung zum fairen Preis

Wenn man den Røde-Blimp an einer Tonangel benutzt, ist die Anschaffung dieses Adapters quasi verpflichtend. Am Ende einer meterlangen Stange macht sich der Gewichtsunterschied zum Pistolengriff schnell positiv bemerkbar. Die Verarbeitung ist einwandfrei: es ist die gleiche Neigungsjustierung mit Feststellklemme aus Metall verbaut, wie man sie vom Pistolengriff kennt.

Der Tausch von Pistolengriff gegen den Universal Mount ist zunächst gewöhnungsbedürftig, da die Verbindungsschraube konstruktiv bedingt am Blimp verbleibt und man plötzlich die lose Rändelmutter und eine Zwischenscheibe in der Hand hat, die man dann in den Universal Mount einsetzen muss (das erste mal also vielleicht besser nicht bei Außenaufnahmen in hohem Gras umbauen...). Nach ein, zwei Versuchen bekommt man das aber innerhalb von 15 Sekunden hin.

Als Ersatz am Blimp gedacht

aber nicht verwendet, weil de Originalgriff nicht viel schwere ist und Vorteile bietet.
Würde ich nicht mehr als Ersatz für den Griff kaufen. Ich verwende ihn aber mit eine anderen Shockmount, dafür ist er bestens.
