Mini Crunch box!
Tomi_C 04.02.2019
If you ever tried a Crunch Box you know it is one of the best British sounding distortions ever made. This is exactly the same, but it is smaller and a bit better in my personal opinion because it is built well, it is small and it produces little to no noise becuase it has a lot of headroom. To match it with your clean sound you don't have to go past 9 o'clock. Would recommend it and would buy it again if it broke, and I do not see it breaking in the near future.

interesting

The tone is interesting, but I did not find a use for it. Really fat low mid, but at the same time some piercing highs as well, but lacking in upper mids. I prefer Fulltone OCD or EH GLove to fatten a tone on leads.

Everyone loves crunchy chords
Anonymous 02.07.2015
Since buying the Mooer Cruncher I have found myself playing more and more rhythm guitar with my Fenders, because the crunchy chords this pedal produces just sound too good. Probably not the best pedal in the world for most lead styles, although some great blues sounds be created if you like your two-note-chord solos and fills.

The only real downside to the Cruncher is the sensitivity, which takes a lot of getting used to. Controlling the volume while progressing from clean sounds to crunch can be a bit of a hassle, but experience will improve this. Best to keep your amp on low volume at first if you have sensitive neighbours.

As always with Mooer, the pedal itself is a light and compact design which I personally find very appealing.

Pretty good

First of all, in fairness, I am not a huge high-gain Marshall fan. This thing sounds super nice, but it doesn't have the same level of detail as the pedal it is trying to copy. I have a bunch of Mooer pedals, most of them dirt, and this is the one I am the least happy with. It still lives on my pedalboard, though. MASSIVE amounts of volume on tap with this thing!
