Fantastic

The Byzance range are top quality cymbals made in turkey from B20 Bronze
Initial appearance the surface of the cymbal is completely unlathed but lathed on the bottom, giving it a unique finish basically raw hand-hammered bronze--for a raw earthy sound. There is no wash. and extremely short sustain and stick definition which come from the deep hammer marks layered with a more traditional hammering. Wide applications such as studio, fusion, Latin, R&B, country, rock, jazz and pop.A great go to Crash cymbal that sounds great but quickly gets out of the way in my opinion. In addition the bell sounds great for accents and riding on the cymbal is also a joy producing a dry sound with short decay. Try it you wont be disappointed

A very dynamic crash cymbal.
Tim3045 23.04.2014
This Crash is the type of cymbal that really does wonders for your dynamic playing. Its sound is really unique and I often get compliments on it when i'm gigging.
I love its quick decay and believe its the kind of cymbal that is difficult to overplay. It doesn't cut through music so much as it lays neatly on top of your groove. I would recommend this to drummers looking for a unique stand out cymbal to bring a new flavour to your playing.

Meinl dryness 18 inches of it!

Absolutely beautiful, nothing like I expected but better. I was expecting a really trashy kind of china sound, it's really washy, it has a short sustain which adds to the sound which cuts through and just gives this cymbal more life.

Greatest Sounding Crash!!!
Anonymous 26.10.2016
I recently changed from Zildjian K (after 19 years) to Meinl Byzance series and never looked back.

The extra-dry line is simply out of this world!

They're so versatile and the feel is fantastic.

This cymbal is a crash, china or special effect stack rolled into one.

It fits in nicely with any type of music in any type of environment, any volume.

Highly recommended!
