A great looking rugged stereo jack

I picked these up for building a TRS cable to use with the Eventide Timefactor's Aux Switch socket - basically adding a bank up/down and tap tempo switch - which frankly it needs.

Inside, the tags are solid, well seperated and easy to solder to, the jacket sleeve is wide enough for Sommer Spirit cable and really rugged. So I'm very confident in the connections not getting broken by strain or heavy use.

The jack is nicely machined, it's got a small profile which is a bonus on pedal boards.

Very durable, high quality jack plug. I only struggled with its maximum cable diameter limitation which is 7mm. With patience I was able to use it with Sommer Carbokab225 (about 7.6mm).

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is in the market for jack plugs.

Einsatz:
Der Stecker wurde für ein XLR <> Klinke Studiokabel (beide Stecker gewinkelt) gekauft. Der XLR Stecker ist ein Neutrik NC3MRX. Das Kabel ein Sommer Cable (SC) Galileo 238 Plus.

Positiv:
- Saubere Verarbeitung. Stabil. Nichts auszusetzen.
- Der kompakteste, gewinkelte Stecker am Markt(LxHxB): 47x47x13mm vs. 61x52x15mm (Neutrik NP3RX)

Negativ:
- Zugentlastung Standard. Neutrik NP3RX zeigen wie es besser geht. Allgemein ist der Aufbau der Neutrik NP3RX besser.
- Masse liegt auf Gehäuse: Völlig unnötig.
- Anlötpunkte sind im Vergleich zum Neutrik NP3RX klein und nervig. Besonders die Masse ist grauenhaft zu verarbeiten, wenn der äußere Schirm des 238 Plus als Schirmung und nicht als Masse verwendet werden soll.
- Isolierung der Masse zum Plus Pol (Hot) ungenügend. Unverständlich warum die schwarze Plastiktrennung nicht weiter runter gezogen wurde.

Fazit:
Wer einen kompakten, gewinkelten TRS (Stereoklinke) Stecker braucht ist hier richtig. Wenn es etwas größer sein kann, sollte man in jedem Fall zum Neutrik Pendant greifen.

PS:
Die Aussage in der Topbewertung der schwarze Teil des Steckers sei "gummiertes Metall" stimmt nicht.
