Heil Blue Fin Microphone

Lovely Microphone, very heavy, Solid, 1940's Feel. Quality and Style are obvious. Lovely Flight Case for it to live in. Sounds lovely to sing through. I am a Bass / Baritone /tenor. Easy to adjust angle of Microphone. and it comes adjusted to stay at the angle you like. Easy to Connect the XLR Lead even when on the Stand. Only drawback is it is heavy (don't hit yourself in the face with it, it flippin' hurts). it has a built in wind guard, which is ok, although this is quite a sensitive Microphone. Because it is heavily Chromed, it does get some condensation on it from breathing. Try to avoid knocking the Microphone, or the stand if you use one, as the noise transfers directly to the Microphone. probably because it is such a heavy, Solid, quality build. The Lights are Great. So overall, it sounds great and looks Bling.!

I so wish this was good

I love the look of this mic, and when powered up it's an eye catcher. Sadly I have not been able to use it on any stage so far, and not even when rehearsing because it is SO prone to feedback. Only time I have been able to use it was in a large room with a small Yamaha Stagepas 1k as soundsystem. When it works it has similar sound quality as an SM-58... However, I'm writing this review after having to unmount it yet again at our last gig. If someone could make it not have screamingly poor performance regarding feeback it would tick all the boxes and get highest remarks. But right now I feel it is a very very expensive paper weight at best, or maybe as an interior decoration piece.

Looks Great, sounds...

I was doing a Speakeasy themed show and thought this would be perfect for the MC... Sadly, it sounds AWFUL, similar to the Shure SH55

But looks great, and when you turn the Phantom Power on, it lights up blue (with no phantom power bang/noise)

Other the one party trick, it's worthless

Nécessite une connectique bien ajustée ( risque de bruits parasites dû aux frottements internes du câble ). Néanmoins un bon micro dans cette gamme de prix
