Good for specific usage
GoWithTheFloat 17.10.2021
I needed an ukulele for a video, and this more than did the trick. It held tuning surprisingly well and was more easily played than I thought, but I would not use this as my main ukulele. All in all very good for the price and maybe for beginners who are unsure whether they want to invest more time and money into the ukulele or not!

GP
Cheap ukulele
Gabriel P 09.11.2017
For the price that I paid for it I couldn't ask for more. This ukulele is great for learning to play or just for fun. My daughter is loving it and so do I

PROS:
- Cheap!

CONS:
- Bad strings. I cut in half a set of nylon classical guitar strings and I can use them twice.
- Bad intonation. Needs adjustments at the nut and bridge. But ok if you only play near the nut. Some sanding wouldn't take you more than 10 minutes.
- Unpolished frets. Get yourself a steel wool
- Neck was dry. Oil it and you'll be good

ok for this price

As for the price, the ukulele is ok. It detunes very quickly though. It requires tuning not only before each use, but also you need to tune it up during using, as it looses the tone very quickly.

It was okay

I mean, what does one expect for the price? It outperformed the price, but it's a step up from a toy.

A step up from the uke you might find on the wall in a tourist gift shop.

Low price, low quality

This was my very first instrument. The ukulele is a great starting point to learn about making music and music theory. For a beginner you will not notice the flaws in the sound and build of this instrument. But after using it to practice reguarly I began to notice the sound is completly off and the strings are out of tune every few minutes. So it doesn't hold up well but is certainly a fine budget option to introduce someone to playing music.

J
A DIY Uke
JaJaJan 18.04.2016
Thsi is one of the cheapest ukes on earth, so what can you expect.

Out of the box this uke only gets 1 star. The strings are rubbish, the action is far to high, the intonation is bad. And the frets are a bit sharp.

But....if you are a DIY man/woman you can make a decent uke out of this. Invest 6 Euro in Martins M600 strings, lower the action and the intonation will get much better and so the playability. Smoothen the fret-ends and hereyou go: a decent beginners-ukulele for less than ¤25. Not the cheapest uke on earth anymore, but a decent one. Worth 3 stars.

Acceptable performance for the entry price
derwish 28.11.2017
As it always goes with Thomann, the product arrived timely and in proper packaging.

The ukulele looks good and has a fine timbre. It is not going to amaze you with its sound or build quality, yet it fulfills its purpose for its entry price.

I would find it ideal for:
- Beginners,
- Those who would like to have a super-portable musical companion in holidays,
- 3+ years old infants for their first stringed instrument experience.

I would buy it again; it sounds nice for its minimal price.

This is quite a basic ukulele. It was bought for a beginner who had not played any instrument before. The action at the nut is OK, but as you go up the neck, the strings get further away from the fretboard. The finish on the body is satisfactory. If you want a cheap instrument to see if a person can take to playing ukulele, it's quite suitable for that. For the price it is OK.
