Well built and good price
Nipsu 03.04.2018
I'm using this clamp for my main hi-hat on gigs where I'm playing while standing (which I do pretty much nowadays). Stays in place, and it feels pretty sturdy. Personally I'm not a fan of hi-hat cluthes that screw directly to the rod (because they don't grip so tight and leave scratches to the rod), so I replaced the original with a Pearl SGC-300P.

The tension adjustment is a very cool thing! Not so many manufacturers have that. I use it to play the hats closed on some songs and loosen it to play them in an open position on others.

Only thing I don't like is that the rod is too short to attach an addational tambourine or some other percussion there.

All in all, it's a great product and the price is attractive. If they made the rod a bit longer and upgraded tha clutch it would be the ultimate x-hat clamp! I highly recommend it even now.

Very sturdy Hi-hat stand
gothalinok 30.07.2019
I bought the Gibraltar 9707 xb hi-hat stand to have a second hi-hat on my drum kit, and I attached it to the china stand on my right. It is a well made, sturdy hi-hat stand, with a ton of adjustments, Gibraltar quality. Very stable, I already gigged twice and used in in a couple of rehearsals and it is very stable, you can totally rely on it.
It`s not a very cheap piece of gear, buy you have to pay for quality isn`t it?

MS
It works
Mike Statene 01.04.2022
as simple as that ... it simply works with my extra hi-hat which is a pair of 14" old Zildjian New Beat that I drilled a shit ton of holes in because I hated how they sound ... but that's another story ... the hi-hat mount is stable and the spring mechanism is gorgeous ... the only bad thing is that Gibraltar doesn't make a version with cable ... but that's probably because DW is the owner ... anyways! It's perfect!

You want an auxiliary Hi Hat?
M K. 26.06.2014
For me it's excellent. I wanted a second auxiliary Hi Hat mounted over the primary hats, set closed for when I use my left foot on a cowbell. Looked at a number of options but went with this, and very happy. Particularly like how easy it is to adjust the tension between the Hi Hats to produce just the required amount of wash whilst rocking out 1/8 notes.
