For the money, you can't go wrong!
Whilst this isn't a SKB case which in my opinion are the very best on the market, this Gator GR-2S is more than adequate for taking your prized equipment from gig to gig. It's pricing is reflected somewhat in the quality of the build and fittings. The catches (4 butterflies) seem to work fine but they do appear a little on the flimsy side. The case handles, one on either end are a little difficult to get your hand around when first picking up the case but are comfortable when carrying. As for the case itself, it is moulded and that includes the feet on one side only. I had to double check that I had put the amplifier in the right way around as these moulded feet don't protrude a lot. However they are stable and the unit doesn't rock around. Fitting the amp (once the right way up) was a breeze with the pack of 8 screws and washers that come with the unit. Technically you could put two 1U units in if you needed to. There are slight gaps both on top of and underneath the amplifier faceplate, but I think that the more air circulating, the better. All in all, a good case for the money. Not a budget SKB but a good low price alternative.

Great case - molded in Gator logo is a bit much
The case quality is very high. Only complaint is that the large Gator logo is indented into the case a bit too deeply for my personal use case and I would be much happier with a silkscreened or shallower logo and take care of internal padding myself (I assume the deep indent is to provide some internal support for your gear in case it shakes up and down).
Very happy that this design includes mounts on rear and front - like all racks should.

gator gr-2s
Its a very ok rack case...but the made in china logo means that some of the holes ar not properly aligned and one of my processors stay a little "offline " in the case. The finnishes are not exactly first class...but its sturdy and its ok for now

Tight Fit
I have a Tamp power amp and it only just fits inside this case. I have to be careful where the mains plug is situated when packing up as I'm sure it could easily foul the cooling fans. Other than that a good case for the money.

Not so sturdy, but good rack case overall
It's pratical and doesn't take too much space.
But in the end, one wonders if it would survive an agressive mishap.
Still very positive review case though.

Good Value Rack Case
I bought this rack case for an old Trace Elliot GP12 AH250 Bass Amplifier. Protects this classic amp, looks great. Comfortable handles. Job done. Reasonably priced.

Good rack case
Overall great quality case. I use it for my Crown power amplifier that I use in my bass rig. It keeps the amplifier nice and safe when moving it around.
I had some problems with the rack screw placement. The amp didn't fit very well with this cases screw placement but in the end I managed to get the amplifier secured in there. Otherwise the build quality is good.
