Bulletproof, cool and different, but...
Matyas S. 15.10.2020
I ordered this snare head just to try it. The quality is amazing, and it is basicaly bulletproof (didn't test it, so do not quote me on that). Heavy as hell, so I was hoping for a lower tone with the usual tension. Well, maybe. A bit. But it is also a bit sharper on the attack than usual. Not a bad sound at all, suprisingly responsive too, but not what I was after. Looks cool, but sounds a bit... well, unusual. One day I love it, on other days I find it kinda... meh. Could work for many of us, but the price works against it. Will stay playable for a helluva lot longer than other snare head, but to cough up the money up front... well... probably not for anyone. A nice and certanily different sound for your arsenal, but I'm on the fence recommending it.

Exactly what I hoped for
Anonymous 13.04.2015
I've been playing this head for a couple of months now and I like it. It's really loud and powerful but surprisingly responsive as well. I expected a fat feel, like playing a coated G2, but that's not the case. I play heavy metal in one band, so I need the attack and durability of the Hybrid, but it's versatile enough to work in my other pop/blues project as well.

The only downside I can think of right now is the price.

Indestructable!
Anonymous 08.07.2016
I have had this head for a while now and used it at 30 or so shows and about that many band practices. By now, if this were a normal skin, i would be replacing it. I can't even see wear on it yet and it still sounds as good as it did new. When i read reviews saying exactly that i was dubious to say the least but it has proven its worth many times over. People even compliment my snare sound now, and the way it looks tends to draw some attention too.

I thought i would give it a try to see what all the hype was about and, worse case scenario, replace it after a few weeks like my normal skins. I think this thing has another 300 shows in it judging by how well its holding up so far!

But it, try it, love it!

BEST HEAD EVER
Michiel Vetters 16.04.2020
If you hit hard and have broken a snarehead or two, this is the solution!! It's the strongest head I've ever used and I'm never changing it again (because it will always sound great). I play a low to mid tuning and still this head gives a nice response with a heavy attack.
Must have for all you heavy metal hitters!!!
