Superb guitar
Ivo T. 29.01.2021
Got mine a week ago and i can say that it is absolute MONSTER.
Looks nothing like the pictures - it so MUCH MORE.
1. The side colour is not white - its ivory.
2. The finish is so much better than in the pictures
3. BE CAREFUL - As the official site states the neck pickup is 60-7 not 707- i havent removed it but the EMG logo is in blue-ish silver color.
4. I was very lucky cause the guitar i received is from Korea
5. The fretboard is nothing like in the pictures - it so much darker and beautiful!
So, pros and cons:
+ :
1. It looks god damn amazing
2. Sounds superb - those EMG's are killers
3. The finish is superb - i haven't found a flaw yet
4. The neck is perfect for me - it's not too wide and it is very fast and comfortable
- :
1. There seems to be a dissonance with the guitar on the 15+ frets. It is like something is resonating almost with the same freq as those frets - but that is only with the neck pickup - nothing is heard on the bridge one.
2. Tuners are superb - they are GROVER's but I am lowering a point for features cause they could have put Locking tuners in - I mean c'mon
Overall:
Fantastic guitar which feels and sounds superb, great for every guitarist on every level

Not the best choice at the price
DenisShipilov 16.11.2022
I bought my EC-407 last year.
During next 3 month after purchase i changed frets and electronics.
Stock fret work was awful, high e and b strings didn't sound a on 5th, 7th and 16th frets. 1 month after, three-way switch broke down. Bridge position didn't work. After 1 month more, bridge volume capacitor broke down. So a changed both frets and electronic and now works. Nevertheless the guitar itself is comfortable, stock pickups are quite good. There is a little neck diving but not in critical way. It's comfortable to play standing. So the guitar is not bad, it looks cool, it sounds good, but i'd recomend to check it carefully before purchase. And of course, maybe i was a little out of luck, and other EC-407 don't have the problems i mentioned.

Great metal beast!

After playing it for a solid year I must say that this is a great no-nonsense 7 string guitar. I had absolutely no problems with it. The built quality is excelent, I found no flaws. I was also very satisfied with the setup that it came with, I only changed the strings for a heavier gauge. Truly a 7-string workhorse.

My new favourite guitar!
Jackus Packus 05.03.2021
I've never owned an LTD or a 7 string guitar before, so I've been dying to get this guitar for a while. I'm delighted that I pulled the trigger and ordered it for Christmas because it is such a gorgeous guitar.

Pros:
- Neck is easy to play
- Plays really well after a setup and keeps in tune well
- Lovely finish overall, I love the cream binding

Cons:
- There's a lot of string noise, so I'd recommend getting a fretwrap for it and putting foam behind the bridge to dampen the string noise.
- There is a blemish in the finish below and to the right of the neck pickup. This is only a minor inconvenience though, since it doesn't affect the playability.

Would highly recommend!
