The best one for me

I think I finally came up with the strings that satisfies me completely.
After experimenting with a lot of different brands and gauges, most of the time in past few Years I stuck with Elixir nanoweb 40-95 because they lasted the most, but the gauge was a bit thin on the E string for me.
DR Pure Blues I tried by chance, cause they arrived on the bass I bought second-hand. It however was 45-105, but I loved the sound.
Therefore I bought this one DR Pure Blues 40-100, and it's perfect 10/10 sound, feel and duration.

UPDATE after I bought the second pack, three weeks later.
The similar thing happened like with the 45-105 I got on the second hand bass I bought, That pack 45-105 got E string sounding a little bit dull in comparison to other strings.
This 40-100 set has the same problem out of the box, but with the G string. It sound like it is used much more than the other three strings.

So I'm a little bit disappointed and must to lower the rating.

UPDATE after my third pack. The same situation like with the last update. The E string is dull at the moment I put them on my P bass. Just for in case, I change them and put them on StingRay - same thing. First three strings have great sound, and the E is dull.

Sadly I'm finished with Pure Blues. Was so happy after the first pack...

Best string ever

I use those strings on all my basses, mainly played my Fender JB US 71 and Warwick Corvette $$ 5 Limited Edition (with Bartolini mics). I play mostly in a blues band with the Fender and lost of styles in an another band with Warwick.

No cons.

Pros: those strings lasts for me 6 months, of course I clean my hands before playing and use Fast Fret before and plauing (almost every time).

Very bright at the beginning, not my taste but I guess slappers will love that, after a few gigs I have no need to tweak my treeble down and the normal bright will last perfectly for 3 or 4 months, then it decreases but for the music stylesI play it's not an issue. Very precise on the tunning even at end of life.

I will never change from this model unless it will be dropped of manufacturing by the brand!

Last ok,not much. The sound is plain as others, nothing special.Did a few gigs with,i will not use them again. They go dead too soon and do not let the name convincing you they are specially blues for. There are more brands for better options.

Love these on my 1980 Stingray - they are great feeling strings and they sound fantastic, rich and bright for a long time after you string up your bass
