Das Mundstück hat eine sehr gute Verarbeitung. Nach nur wenigen Übungseinheiten passte sich das SM 5 sehr gut an. Habe vorher das 4 AL von Denis Wick gespielt. Der nur geringfügig kleinere Kesseldurchmesser ( 4 AL =26 mm; SM5 25,73 mm) macht schon einen Unterschied im im Klang des Euphonium aus. Das SM5 spricht in allen Tonlagen gut an. Kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Für Anfänger ist es eher nicht geeignet (besser kleineren Kesseldurchmesser wählen).

Ex trompettiste pro à la retraite, j'ai joué toute ma vie sur Bach 1 1/2 C. En passant à l'Euphonium, j'ai cherché et trouvé les mêmes qualités que précédemment. C'est l'embouchure, qui me convient à merveille. Je ne peux que conseiller cette embouchure, à mon avis référence incontournable.
