Not bad for the money
Overall seems fairly good. It doesn't have the range of the Samson Airline, and doesn't seem to have the same quality, but then again it was half the price. I don't like the fact that there is a unique Jack lead, I would prefer a normal jack to jack. I heard a crackle one or two nights, but nothing conclusive. I'm not sure if it's the lead, or radio feedback, or if it's this unit at all, so nothing major to worry about. All in all, I'd still recommend.

Great value for money!
If you're looking for a simple, easy to use wireless system, the AKG is truly worth to check it out. Soundwise, i cant hear much differences between a high-quality cable. The transmission quality is very good, although its a non-digital system. Since buying it (~3 months ago) i did not have any dropouts at all, although its a analog, non-diversity system. Battery stamina it quite good, but you surely should have a cable or some batteries for replacement, as batteries are always going down in the worst situations. ;) The only thing i can citicize, is the output level of the reciever. I have to turn it all the way up, to have an equal gain level compared to a cable, without overdriving the reciever. For me, its just enough, but on other setups it could be a bit of a problem. Other than that, i can really recommend this product for being a cheap and good alternative for a digital wireless system.

Amazingly good
Good bang for the buck. Shouldn't recommend throwing it on the floor a many times, but for the rehearsal room or some occasional gigging its perfect. It actually sounds really good.

great range from this wireless system !
Another good product from akg. I have use this with my acoustic , bass and electric guitars and does well for all of them .It has a great range so i can move around a venue easily and has no loos of sound even in another room! The pack is very small and you wouldnt even notice it in a gig situation .the reciver is very small about the size of a network router and sits on top of my amp without being in the way , over all very pleased with this wireless system from akg and would recommend this to anyone who wants to move around a stage as well as having your set clear from cables !

AKG WMS 40 - Go wireless!
I bought the AKG WMS 40 Mini Instrument ISM1, because i wanted to move free but without less quality on stage.
The startup is easy - plug the sender into your guitar - the receiver into your amp - witch both on - and it works.
I used it for rehearsals as well as live gigs several times, and i never recognized any troubles in sound.
It's easy to use, transmits a loss-free signal - It just works.
It's also a very energy saving device - I had to change the batteries maximally once a month.
Altogher definately worth its money, I would recommend this device to everyone who wants to get wireless without paying lots of money, because it just does its job - and it does it very well!

Wireless is the way to go.
for a simple, cheap, effective wireless, there is no problem with the product. I even ordered the wrong one and thomann sent me the correct one as soon as they received the one I sent for no extra cost. very happy.

Great value for money
Bought this system to replace my old AKG WMS system due to UK frequency changes coming into force soon. The system only uses 1 AA battery which is a big advantage.
The build quality of the base station and belt pack are pretty good.
It's a versatile system which can be used for electric guitars, instrument mics ( e.g. violin/trumpet) or even headsets.
It met my expectations of an AKG branded system and is excellent value for money.I'm planning to buy a couple more................
